The Biblical Foundation(Tithes & Offerings)Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. Malachi 3:10•Christian stewardship is based on the biblical concept of proportional giving. This means that one’s annual commitment consists of a percentage or proportion of one’s annual income. The biblical term tithing means proportional giving at the level of 10% of one’s gross income to the church. Scripture tells us to return our “first fruits” in gratitude to God for the purpose of spreading His kingdom.•While the Bible suggests 10%, this can seem like an overwhelming commitment to some. If this is the case for you, then begin by proportionate giving, gradually increasing your gift to the church by a percentage point(s) of your income each year.

We Need Your Support“Building a Bridge to a Brighter Future” Moving Into A New Dimension of Faith, Favor, and Freedom MAKING A FAITH PROMISE COMMITMENT is a prudent, practical, and responsible form of stewardship. Nearly everyone believes in a commitment when dealing with personal financial affairs, when arranging for loans or other forms of credit, or when saving for future expenditures. Now is the time to use this same kind of reasoning and common sense to care for our combined interests as a church community. It would be impossible to raise enough money through cash donations or “gifts of convenience.” We must rely on everyone to plan a personal four-year goal and then accomplish it, one step at a time. With the spirit of equal sacrifice-not equal gifts, our commitment relies on the spiritual values of sacrifice and faith.

Life Group LeadersThe life group leader is appointed by the Pastor to serve for one year at a time. The design of organizing the membership into classes and the holding of the class meeting is:To establish a system of a sub-pastoral oversight that shall effectively reach every member of the church. To establish and keep up meetings for social activities and religious worship, for instruction, encouragement and admonition that shall be a profitable means of grace to our people. The class system connects people relationally in groups of 12-20 people for the purpose of becoming Christ-like. Through loving one another, fellowship, worship, prayer and edification; the purpose of advancing the Kingdom is realized as disciples are made of all nations.

Rev. Milton Alexander Williams, Jr. was born on February 8, 1975 to the Right Reverend Milton A. Williams, Sr. and Reverend Lula G. Williams in Buffalo, New York. The family was then relocated to Mobile, Alabama and there he attended the public school system until 1988. The Williams family was relocated to Greensboro, North Carolina where he attended and graduated from Grimsley High School in 1993. Rev. Williams continued his education at Loyola College, Baltimore, Maryland and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration.Rev. Williams answered the call to ministry in June of 1998. He served under and was mentored by Rev. Frederick Massey, Sr., Pastor of Galbraith A. M. E. Zion Church in Washington, DC. Rev. Williams furthered his education at Hood Theological Seminary in Salisbury, North Carolina. While pursuing his theological training he served as an associate minister under Rev. Sheldon Shipman at Walls Memorial A. M. E. Zion Church in Charlotte, North Carolina. He graduated in May of 2001 with a Master of Divinity. On June 9, 2001 he married the former Sunne Nicole Marrow. Together, they have three beautiful daughters, Sydney, Kennedy, McKenzie and Emerie.Glory, Honor and Thanks be unto God, for He has revealed the vision to Rev. Williams for the Walls Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church. God has allowed Rev. Williams to see the condition of His people in a unique way. And he believes that God has called His church to respond in a unique way as well. God has revealed to Rev. Williams that the House of God must be a place that wakes up all who sleep spiritually, lifts up all who are down socially, raises up all who are low economically and picks up all who have fallen educationally. He believes that God has purposed the soul of humanity to soar and for the human spirit to be elevated to a place of fulfillment and productivity as children of the King.Knowing that God is not a respecter of persons, Rev. Williams believes that God’s House must be a place that is determined to break through the boundaries of race, gender, ethnicity and socioeconomic standing with the love of God to reach out to all who will receive the soul saving and life changing message of Jesus Christ. He sees God’s church as a place that acknowledges, respects and embraces the strength in diversity and the unique contributions that the whole human family has to offer.Born and raised in the A. M. E. Zion Church with a love and loyalty that reaches deep into his soul, Rev. Williams sees that a new day has come. A day has come with new challenges, different obstacles and more extreme circumstances and the A. M. E. Zion church must respond. He sees a church grounded with absolute respect for heritage, yet fiercely futuristic in thinking, unwavering in allegiance to founding principles, yet vigilant in the pursuit of new ministry paradigms. He sees a church providing a transformative, empowering and holistic ministry. He sees a church where God will provide for every need as it shares the wondrous experience of the redeemed life while awaiting His return. He sees Walls Memorial A. M. E. Zion Church as a “Church Bridging Over to New Dimensions of Living.”
God's Vision For Our ChurchOur vision is to move the greater Charlotte community into aNew Dimension of Living. We will be a bridge that connects people to God, joins them with others in caring relationships and that provides a pathway to personal growth.
